Role

& Responsibilities

The KEM Lead is responsible for safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement in the KEM Cell. The KEM Lead will assign and direct the work of up to 8 hourly employees. Employees work as machine adjusters, machine operators, and inspectors.

Basic Qualifications

KEM CELL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Knowledge
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in a leadership role;
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience;
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and a working knowledge of SAP.
Skills
  • Developed communicative skills, both written and oral;
  • High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines;
  • Ability to quickly identify production problems and quality problems;
  • Excellent time management skills;

Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Sitting at workstation as little as 20% of work time, standing and walking as much as 80% depending on assignment
  • Lift / push / pull up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to twist, reach, squat, and bend
  • Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
  • Full color vision

Involves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, pallets, trucks and machines.
