Production Manager, Operations Manager
The 3rd Shift Supervisor is responsible for daily leadership and execution of hourly union team members supporting all aspects of the Erlanger Distribution Center including receiving, shipping, assembly, kitting and spares shipments. The role coordinates with internal and external customers to meet customer needs.
Roles and Responsibilities- Direction and leadership of hourly team members on shift in a union environment.
- Responsible for daily safety, quality, delivery, and cost of shipped product and ensuring site operating metrics are met.
- Ensure all Material Handler functions are assigned daily to respond to customer AOGs, critical requests, assembly, and spares orders, receiving, and put away volume.
- Create work assignments to support daily KPIs:
Safety Concerns, Customer Service Level, Receiving Cycle, Put Away Cycle and Productivity. - Expedite critical orders through the Erlanger Distribution Center.
- Responsible for team member productivity.
- Ensure adherence to Union Contract, Time and Attendance Policy, Code of Conduct Policy and other guidelines/policies, including timecard approval.
- Participate in and/or lead shop improvement projects.
- Drive capacity planning for shift.
- Participate/lead daily operating meetings and rhythms.
- Maintain interpersonal relationships with union team members.
- Work with Kitting Leaders and Spares Operations Team to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials through Erlanger according to production schedules.
- Develop technical expertise on the use of Warehouse Management System, IMPACT, and Process Weaver.
- Understand truck routes and logistics between assembly sites to make daily work decisions.
The 3rd Shift Supervisor position covers 3rd shift hours from 9:45 pm to 5:45 am Sunday through Thursday night. The position also supports shift pass‑down communications before and after shift start and end times, and may be required to cover other shifts/holidays as necessary.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment).
- Minimum of 3 years in a warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment.
