Job Summary

St. Elizabeth is hiring a Senior Special Events Coordinator for our Foundation department. Dayshift 40 Hours/Week.

Manage and implement all aspects of a variety of fundraising, donor-related special events and projects for the system and third‑party requests that align with system priorities; manage and lead the Community Relations committee and work with additional assigned committees for projects. Recruit and supervise volunteer staff and interns, which number more than 100 for all events.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the successful outcome of system‑wide event projects including major donor events, fundraising events, stewardship events, community engagement events, and others as assigned.
  • Planning, implementation, solicitation of sponsor ships, completion, data handling using Raiser's Edge, promotion and evaluation of Foundation events.
  • Work closely with the Communications Coordinator to support the development of collateral materials.
  • Delegate and check daily assignments of indirect reports, volunteers or other associates on a project team; prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Design/implement efficient services, offer revenue enhancements, monitor expenses, benchmark, encourage service excellence, meet financial/operational/ICARE goals/standards, and provide effective communication.
  • Performance indicators for Foundation events may include net dollars raised by an event, number of event attendees, financial/operational/ICARE performance, and feedback from Marketing and Foundation associates regarding timeliness and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for successful outcome and management of third‑party events; develop and maintain professional relationships with external community partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage Community Relations committee: maintain relationships and collaboration with committee chairs, agenda development, tracking reports, and appropriate data handling; assist with additional committees as needed.
  • Manage Junior Board Committee: maintain relationships and collaboration with committee chairs, steering committee agenda development, event development and assistance.
  • Assist with providing positive and supportive communication to Foundation Board, donors and employees.
Education and Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Specialized Knowledge
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time‑management skills.
  • Effective use and knowledge of Microsoft Office software systems.
  • Ability to organize and manage events, volunteer leaders, and event volunteers.
  • Knowledge of efficient and professional office administration.
Experience
  • 3 years of experience in event planning and implementation, event production within deadlines.
  • 3 years of experience in budget management and contracting for special event projects, including negotiating and executing contracts with external vendors.
