QC Technician – 3rd Shift

Salary: $41,600.00–$71,000.00 (Full‑time, 3rd shift)

Essential Duties:

• Evaluate finished products for quality and acceptability; log test results and batch info in the “I – Series” and QC shared drive Excel sheets.
• Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness; check metal detectors every 2 hours, calibrate as needed, and assist in alarm investigations.
• Perform control point and GMP audits every 2 hours, maintain a safe and clean environment, and maintain required analysis records.
• Check allergen clean‑out effectiveness; conduct pre‑op audits when necessary; examine and log sifter tailings and incoming flour.
• Inspect magnets throughout the lines, perform production scale checks, lab equipment calibration per schedule, and batch setup checks.
• Place products on hold or release as appropriate; reject products and complete rejection forms with root‑cause and corrective action analysis.
• Send product samples for micro testing and manage micro‑hold products.
• Maintain retain sample area and control sample files; generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for outgoing products.
• Inspect incoming ingredients for specification compliance, sample for outside lab or plant testing, and keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform special tasks and other duties as assigned by the QC manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related work experience; higher education preferred (Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree).
• Fluency in spoken & written English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide appropriate direction.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable operating testing equipment and standard office equipment, including desktop computers and Microsoft software.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license if required.
