Senior VMware Engineer (VCF)

We are seeking an experienced Senior VMware Engineer to design, build, and optimise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments that support mission‑critical services. This role involves leading technical delivery, influencing architecture decisions, and contributing to large‑scale transformation programmes within highly secure environments.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and optimise VMware environments, including VCF 5.x and above.
Implement and manage VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and the VMware Aria Suite, including vRealize Operations, Automation, Log Insight, and NSX.
Deliver resilient, scalable, and secure hybrid‑cloud solutions.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges across compute, networking, and storage.
Drive automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives using Ansible, Power Shell, Terraform, or similar tools.
Produce high‑quality architecture and technical documentation (HLDs and LLDs).
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues across infrastructure teams.
Support platform resilience, modernisation, and operational excellence in secure environments.

Qualifications

Significant experience in VMware engineering and enterprise virtualization environments.
Strong hands‑on expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware Aria Suite.
Experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and preferably NSX or AVI technologies.
Knowledge of hybrid‑cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of networking, storage technologies, and Active Directory.
Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Power Shell, Python, or Terraform.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, technically challenging environment.
