We are supporting a leading Global manufacturing organisation in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to lead a team of 10. This is a business that has quality are the forefront of what they do and they are looking for someone with a real passion to drive the department to grow and improve.
Key Responsibilities- Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the quality control and assurance activities for Peak Scientific, Gas (I-Fow) and support the drive to standardise.
- Deputise for the Global Head of Quality as and when required.
- Ensure adherence to the QHSE management system to achieve the highest level of compliance and identify any improvements necessary.
- Modernising systems to improve our overall efficiency and confidence in the quality of our people and product
- Reviews, analyses and reports on quality discrepancies relating to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the accuracy of products.
- Conducts quality assurance tests and performs statistical analysis.
- Investigate problems and develop corrective actions.
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, service and operations representatives.
- Preparing and developing quality reports and metrics within the Company with the aim of raising awareness of issues, trends and assists in delivering change which drives business improvement.
- Managing the creation of standard work / work instructions and supporting training / competency documentation.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of QA strategy and performance in co-operation with the Global Head of Quality.
- Help support new technology / products to ensure the quality needs are met.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience of leading a quality function and be able to demonstrate strong people skills and a passion for driving improvements, having a Green belt would be highly beneficial.
