Substitute ELPAC Testing Assistant

This is a temporary (on‑call) position January – May, which may extend into June based on district needs and state requirements. Employees who wish to remain with the District will be encouraged to apply for permanent positions at the conclusion of the assignment.

• Using the designated, standardized testing battery, administers language proficiency tests (both virtually and in person) in English to students having a native language other than English or who are identified as English language learners.
• Reads scripted instructions to students; evaluates test responses (test formats may include holistic scoring and transcription of oral responses and story telling) and records results.
• Electronically records personal data such as name, age, address, grade level, etc.
• Electronically completes all required forms for testing documentation.

• Graduation from High School or equivalent, strong English communication & technology skills are required.
• Previous experience working as para educator or test proctor in a school, or similar, setting is preferred.

The successful candidate must subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance, submit to a general tuberculosis examination, be fingerprinted, complete a pre-placement physical examination, and show proof of their identity and right to work in the United States as conditions of employment. The District has adopted a drug free work place policy. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results from drug testing.
