Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures and studies with a thorough understanding of standard radiography and fluoroscopy. Responsible for maintaining quality assurance for radiologic safety, equipment, and the development of imaging acquired during cardiology procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology Suites.
Cross trains with the ability and knowledge to assist cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons in all non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.
Speak and read English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.
Knowledge of standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Proficient Windows computer skills including keyboarding, mouse use, drop-down menus, opening folders, copying, and similar operations required within the first two weeks of employment.
Performs other duties as assigned and follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitments of Palomar Health.
Job Requirements- Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years directly-related experience
- Preferred Experience: 3-5 years directly-related experience
- Required Certification: Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R), American Heart Association recognized Advanced Cardiac Life Support, American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
- Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
- Required License: Certi Radiology Tech CRT(F) within 6 months of hire
- Preferred License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R)
