This is a full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm position, with Saturday (8:30am-12:30pm) availability required. Must be willing to travel to other WIC sites within San Diego County.

In a community-based clinic setting, under the supervision of the WIC Program Supervisor, the Lead, Registered Dietitian oversees daily operations and site supervision within clinic site. Determines WIC Program eligibility, provides WIC-administrative, customer support services, counsel basic and advanced nutrition care and breastfeeding services to perinatal women, and the parents/legal guardians/caregivers of newborn to preschool-age children by:
Utilizing a Public Health approach to providing nutrition education to participants, including high-risk nutrition risk conditions and manages specialized food prescriptions. Adhering to Scripps and California State WIC policies, and embracing California WIC philosophy of providing customer service, nutrition education and breastfeeding support.
