Overview

Clinical RN II Medical Oncology at Palomar Health — Escondido, California. Requisition . 72 hours per pay period, 12-hour shifts. Salary range $51.55 - $75.04 per hour.

• Primarily responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients within an assigned unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities.
• Coordinate plan of care with the client, their family and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and responsibly direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
• Understand and adhere to the California Nurse Practice Act, The American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, the ANA Bill of Rights for Registered Nurses and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing.
• Observe and direct patient lifts and mobilization; participate in patient handling as needed.
• Speak and read English at a level sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
• Possess knowledge of standard office equipment and computer skills (Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, email).
• Follow Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards; carry out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

• Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of directly related RN experience in area of specialty
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years of directly related RN experience in area of specialty
• Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
• Preferred Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse
• Required License: Current CA RN License
• Preferred License: Not Applicable
