Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a non‑profit Skilled Nursing Facility with a high nurse‑to‑patient ratio.

Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non‑profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009 with the mission to "honor God by serving others with love and compassion." We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Our 19‑bed skilled nursing facility opened in 2017.

Full‑time position. 7 PM – 7 AM (NOC shift)

Full‑time employees are eligible for health insurance with HRA, dental & vision coverage, optional FSA, paid holidays, vacation accrual, sick leave, and annual retirement employer contributions. Because our independent (non‑corporate) SNF is smaller than average (19 beds), our staff have the opportunity to provide highly‑personalized, quality care.

We're looking for individuals who take joy in providing excellent, personalized care for those struggling with a temporary setback or a terminal diagnosis. Our team of LVNs, along with our CNAs and RNs, seek not only accurate medical care but also enriching personal interactions for our patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Patients and their families often comment that they love our staff's friendliness and dedication – and we're looking for more people who share that mindset.

The LVNs will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality resident care by following federal, state, and company regulations/policies, directing and documenting nursing duties, monitoring and reviewing care plans and procedures, reporting to the Director of Nursing, and leading by positive example.

• Documentation/Medication/Treatment Management (35%)
• Professional Development (5%)
• Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

• Current LVN license in State of California
• At least 2 years of professional experience in long‑term care
• Excellent interpersonal and nursing assessment skills
• Ability to organize and direct nursing care
• Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy
• Ability to monitor and oversee the work of others
• Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situations
