The Immunization Specialist (IS) is a pivotal role, responsible for engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) to drive uptake of GSK vaccines. The IS must possess strong customer engagement skills, deep knowledge of GSK and competitor vaccines, and public health guidelines. Collaboration with Account Management and Retail Channel teams is essential.
Position Summary- Develop and maintain specialized expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, products, and markets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of GSK vaccines, competitive products and promotional strategies to meet customer needs.
- Show high-level selling skills: account‑based selling, strategic thinking, drive for results, and ability to ask for the business.
- Provide value to each targeted account through science‑based and service‑oriented blending.
- Follow public health guidelines and use the vaccines sales process to engage customers and support vaccination or referral efforts.
- Drive vaccination uptake in both Private and Public (Vaccines for Children) sector providers.
- Collaborate with broader field‑based teams, including Account Managers and Retail Channel Managers, to pull through GSK vaccine business.
- Utilize and provide feedback on marketing content and digital tools to optimize and evolve them.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years business‑to‑business or pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing and able to drive or operate a vehicle – driving is an essential function.
- The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience:
- Immunization Specialist (grade
8):
Minimum 2 years business‑to‑business or pharmaceutical sales experience. - Senior Immunization Specialist (grade
7): 5+ years business‑to‑business or pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Immunization Specialist (grade
- Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements.
- Demonstrated learning agility.
- Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience.
- Nursing (MSN, RN, LPN) or other healthcare qualification and experience.
- Demonstrated competency in science, business acumen, and customer engagement.
- Strong account selling skills, including B2B experience in a healthcare–related market.
This is a field‑based position. Travel will be determined by customer location relative to the successful candidate’s geographic location.
Compensation & BenefitsThe US annual base salary ranges from $119,250 to $198,750, with additional annual bonus and eligibility for long‑term incentive programs. Benefits include health care and other insurance (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
