At Esher Sixth Form College, our Fashion and Textiles Department is a busy and creative environment, with around 110 students studying A Level Fashion and Textiles. We’re looking for a practical, organised and hands‑on Fashion and Textiles Technician to support our students and staff — preparing materials and equipment, supporting practical lessons and helping to keep our creative spaces organised, safe and inspiring.
This is a permanent, term‑time position, working 13 hours per week over Wednesday and Thursday, offering an excellent work–life balance and the opportunity to become an integral part of our Creative Arts team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare materials, equipment and work spaces for practical Fashion and Textiles lessons
- Support students with specialist techniques and equipment
, including sewing, painting and screen printing - Organise, clean and maintain equipment, materials and creative work spaces
- Help manage stock, resources and equipment
, ensuring everything is ready for teaching and learning - Support department displays, exhibitions and College events
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider Creative Arts team to provide a safe, organised and inspiring environment
