Science Teacher (Physics Specialism) – IGCSE & A Level

Horizon Teachers is working with an outstanding independent specialist school in Kingston upon Thames to recruit a Science Teacher with a Physics specialism for a full-time, long-term role starting this September.

Teaching small classes allows you to focus on delivering engaging, practical lessons while building strong relationships that help students develop confidence and achieve academically. You'll be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team who share a common goal of enabling every learner to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will teach Science with a Physics specialism, including IGCSE and A Level Physics. Experience teaching AQA specifications is desirable, alongside the ability to inspire students through creative and engaging classroom practice.

The Role

You'll deliver high-quality Science lessons across the curriculum while leading Physics teaching through to A Level. Working within a collaborative department, you'll contribute to curriculum development, inspire curiosity and support students to achieve excellent outcomes.

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a Physics specialism
Can teach Physics to IGCSE and A Level
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge
Is committed to inclusive, student-centred teaching
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team
