Are you an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher ready to take the next step in your career?
We're recruiting for a brand-new specialist school opening in Esher this September, supporting pupils aged 7-17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the school's founding team, helping to shape a positive and nurturing learning environment from day one.
The Role- Lead learning sessions and provide classroom cover when required.
- Deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs to engage in learning and achieve their goals.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
- Previous experience as an HLTA
, experienced Teaching Assistant
, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher
. - Confident leading lessons or taking responsibility for groups of pupils.
- Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Calm, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
