This role is for a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare's Esher Manor Care Home in Esher. Main duties of the jobAs the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging events and outings, and maintaining a safe living and working environment. You will need to have previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting, as well as experience organizing activities and events. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and a positive attitude towards older people are essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and to understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
- Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
- Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
- Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
