- Superflex role, you’ll be part of our most agile and responsive unit - ready to support drivers when they need it most. This role is designed for those who can offer extra flexibility around changing schedules, less sociable hours, and shorter notice periods. The basic salary is substantially higher than a standard Patrol Technician to compensate for the flexibility needed for this role.

Shift and Schedule40 hours per week, averaged over the year. Working pattern issued seven days in advance, with 72 hours’ notice for specific hours. Working hours range 6:00 am - 2:00 am, with occasional overnight stay. Rest and recovery - 11 hours of rest between shifts and a minimum of two days off every fortnight. Shift times may start early, finish late, or fall on any day of the week.

- Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
- Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility.
- Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
- Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably Level
3) - City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent. - Minimum of 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile role.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence - maximum 6 points, no bans.
