Salary: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours:

Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm

Available at 1.5x hourly rate, subject to availability

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering business on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within aerospace or precision engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical inspection, engineering drawings and dimensional measurement.

• Inspect precision-engineered components to drawing and specification
• Carry out dimensional inspection using verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection equipment
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation
• Identify and report non-conforming components
• Work closely with production and quality teams
• Ensure products meet required customer and quality standards

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Inspector
• Experience working from engineering drawings
• Confident using verniers, micrometers and height gauges/towers
• Good understanding of dimensional inspection
• CMM experience preferred
• Aerospace or precision engineering experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must have the right to work in the UK
