Job DescriptionThe PACU RN in Española, NM plays a vital leadership role in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit, overseeing the recovery of surgical patients to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This position requires clinical expertise in post‑operative monitoring, pain management, and emergency response, along with strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with surgical teams and manage unit operations.
Responsibilities- Prioritize the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently.
- Provide post‑operative monitoring and pain management to patients.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate care with surgical teams.
- Manage unit operations, ensuring safety and quality of care.
- Licensure:
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required. - Degree from an accredited academic nursing program; minimum ADN with expectation of BSN within 5 years.
