Data Analyst
The Data Visualization Specialist transforms complex data into compelling, accessible, and actionable visual products that support leadership decision-making, program oversight, grants management, and stakeholder communications. This position develops dashboards, reports, presentations, infographics, and data stories that effectively communicate insights to diverse audiences.
Position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities Dashboard and Reporting Development- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc visualizations for operational and programmatic reporting.
- Create executive-level reports and visual products for leadership meetings and conferences.
- Translate complex analytical findings into meaningful visual narratives.
- Present trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights through effective graphic communication.
- Develop visual presentations that support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Create infographics, maps, scorecards, and performance dashboards.
- Implement accessible design principles that comply with Section 508 and federal accessibility requirements.
- Ensure visual consistency, usability, and user-centered design across all products.
- Work closely with program leadership, analysts, and project teams to identify reporting needs.
- Support presentations, briefings, leadership requests, and special projects.
- Recommend innovative visualization techniques that improve data utilization across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Visualization, Information Design, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles and data storytelling.
- Experience developing presentations and communicating with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Expertise with Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js.
- Experience with GIS and geospatial mapping tools.
- Experience with Figma, Canva, and Google Data Studio.
- Experience supporting federal programs.
