International Payroll Project Specialist – EMEA (Contract)

£102,000 per hour (pro rata)

My client is a multinational financial technology company providing innovative solutions to financial institutions around the world. We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Transition Specialis
t to support complex payroll transformation initiatives across EMEA.

This is a hands‑on delivery role focused on payroll transitions, new system implementations, vendor changes, testing, documentation, training, and operational stabilisation.

What will I be doing?

• Lead end-to-end payroll transition and implementation activities
• Develop and execute payroll testing strategies, UAT, validation, and parallel runs
• Ensure payroll accuracy, reconciliation, and successful go-live delivery
• Create payroll SOPs, procedures, and operational documentation
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to payroll teams
• Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and external vendors to drive successful outcomes
• Embed payroll controls, compliance requirements, and audit-ready processes

What experience do I need to be eligible?

• Proven experience delivering payroll transitions and implementations initiatives in the past
• Strong operational payroll expertise in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
• Hands‑on experience with payroll testing, parallel runs, data validation, reconciliation, and vendor/platform migrations
• Strong understanding of gross-to-net processing, statutory reporting, payroll controls, and audit requirements
• Ability to work independently in fast‑paced, complex environments
