An ambitious and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Client Manager to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practice professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing a portfolio of clients, and supporting the development of colleagues. The successful candidate will take ownership of their own client portfolio while working closely with senior members of the team, with a clear progression path to Client Manager.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients
• Acting as the primary point of contact and delivering exceptional client service
• Managing deadlines across accounts, VAT returns and compliance work
• Supporting senior team members with the wider client portfolio
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery

To be considered, you will have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• At least 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing client relationships and deadlines
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• A proactive, commercial and client-focused approach
