We are recruiting for an experienced scheduling coordinator to join a well-established and growing business based in the Dunmow area.
This is a key coordination position where you will take responsibility for planning and scheduling field based teams, organising customer appointments and ensuring jobs run smoothly from initial booking through to completion.
The RoleAs an Experienced Scheduling Coordinator, you will act as an important link between customers, field based teams and internal departments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating busy daily and weekly schedules
- Booking and allocating customer jobs
- Scheduling field based engineers and technicians
- Planning workloads based on location, availability and job requirements
- Organising efficient travel and routes between customer sites
- Liaising with customers to arrange appointments and attendance
- Keeping customers updated throughout the process
- Ensuring relevant information is obtained before scheduled work takes place
- Preparing job packs and supporting documentation
- Coordinating site and job specific paperwork where required
- Monitoring jobs from initial booking through to completion
- Responding to changes, cancellations and urgent requirements
- Rearranging schedules and workloads when priorities change
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure work is ready to proceed
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Following up on outstanding actions and completed work
- Identifying potential scheduling issues and resolving them proactively
- Providing general operational and administrative support to the wider team
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience scheduling engineers, technicians, contractors or another field based workforce
- Strong diary and workload management experience
- Experience coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously
- Excellent customer communication skills
- The confidence to make decisions when schedules change
- Strong organisation and administration skills
- Experience working across different departments
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- A proactive approach to resolving scheduling and customer issues
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coordinator who enjoys being at the centre of a busy operation.
You will have ownership of schedules and workloads, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure jobs are organised effectively and delivered to a high standard.
