Service Advisor

We are representing our client, a reputable automotive franchise in Southend, who is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Service Advisor. The Service Advisor role is fundamental to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the dealership’s service department. Benefits:

Competitive basic salary of up to £26,000 per annum, dependent on experience
OTE of £35,000, offering excellent earning potential
Full-time, permanent contract

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, plus a rotational Saturday morning shift (8:00am to 1:00pm)

Duties & responsibilities:

Greeting customers and guiding them through the service process
Preparing and managing job cards efficiently
Keeping customers informed of service progress and any additional work required
Upselling services, warranty work, and additional products
Handling customer queries via telephone and online communication channels
Generating invoices and processing payments accurately
Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and maintaining dealership standards
Supporting the service team in daily operational tasks as required

Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar Service Advisor role within a Main Car Dealership is preferred
Strong customer service skills with an approachable and professional manner
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Full UK driving licence and legal right to work in the UK
Passion for the automotive industry is desirable, whether from a background within motor trade or a keen interest in vehicles
Confidence in dealing with customers face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
Ability to upsell and promote dealership services effectively
Organised with attention to detail to handle paperwork and administrative duties accurately
