From £32,000 - £35,000 (can be negotiable for the right candidate)
Manages the rental, logistics, and tracking of temporary roadway panels, bog mats, and related access equipment. They handle client inquiries, arrange logistics, maintain accurate hire contracts, and monitor equipment location to ensure efficient site access, with key responsibilities focusing on maximizing utilization and ensuring timely delivery.
- Processing, confirming, and tracking the delivery and off-hire of trackway panels and mats, ensuring they meet project timelines.
- Actively monitoring the location of all hired equipment, managing site-to-site transfers to maximize utilization.
- Acting as the main point of contact for enquiries, providing technical advice, and resolving issues promptly.
- Resolve all damage and loss issues in line with operational procedures, escalating to Operations and Sales Management in a timely manner, where appropriate.
- Help to improve revenue and service standards by accurately establishing customers’ needs and identifying opportunities for additional hire requirements.
- Pre validation assessment is essential for all new business activity including credit checks.
- Ensure the company systems are up to date to allow up to date information for reports and forecasting is reviewed regularly to capture key data.
- Review and highlight pricing sensitivities and feedback from Customers to ensure we maximise the opportunity to win work.
- Support the National Account Managers and Operations staff to ensure that customer requirements are delivered cost effectively.
- Coordinator the company CRM to a high degree of accuracy to ensure all activity is recorded this will include all business calls undertaken with clear objectives and outcomes recorded.
- Utilise companies’ Sales tools to upsell and be a brand ambassador.
- Understand and update company forecast
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Prior experience in plant hire, construction logistics, or tool hire, particularly with specialized equipment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook) and experience with hire management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments, managing multiple, changing, and urgent, site-based, logistics requirements.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
- Be commercially aware and be analytically minded
- Good communication and the ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms. Internally and externally
