Chartered Building Surveyor position within a growing consultancy delivering project and professional Building Surveying services across multiple property sectors. The role provides exposure to contract administration, landlord and tenant matters, and technical advisory work. Permanent, full-time appointment based in Chelmsford with hybrid working.

• Delivery of both project and professional Building Surveying instructions across a varied property portfolio.
• Deliver contract administration on refurbishment and alteration projects up to approximately £3m
• Provide project management support from instruction through completion
• Undertake dilapidations inspections, schedules and negotiation support
• Deliver Party Wall advisory instructions
• Carry out defect diagnosis and technical building inspections
• Support design development and planning-related consultancy where required
• Prepare technical reports and client advisory documentation
• Work across commercial, residential, education and retail property assets
• Maintain direct communication with property owners, occupiers and professional teams
• Manage multiple instructions with responsibility for programme and technical delivery

Independent property consultancy delivering Building Surveying and technical advisory services across commercial and mixed-use property. The practice advises private clients, investors and occupiers across refurbishment, landlord and tenant matters and building consultancy instructions. Continued growth in workload across both project and professional instructions has created the requirement for an additional Chartered Building Surveyor.

• Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor
• Experience delivering both project and professional Building Surveying services
• Exposure to contract administration and refurbishment projects
• Experience undertaking dilapidations and defect inspections
• Understanding of Party Wall matters
• Ability to manage client instructions and produce technical reports
• Commercial awareness across project delivery and professional consultancy work
