Quantity Surveyor | Essex site based | DFE Education projects

Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading Main Contractor. This is a role to join their Eastern division and work for one of the most successful privately owned Main Contractor.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

For this role, our client is looking for a proactive, passionate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will work site based in Essex with visits to their south Cambridgeshire office. The role is to lead a £76 Million New build school as well as future project secured in the region.

This role is full time, permanent role 5 days per week, 830am - 530pm.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor

Provide support to line manager.

Take financial and commercial control of project.

Work as a full team member and support other members of the team to achieve successful project delivery.

Aspire to the very highest standards of quality, service and business performance.

Tackle difficult issues early by promoting early resolution to problems.

Ensure accurate, real time reporting where required.

Achieve project targets whilst maintaining client and supply chain relationships.

To lead Sub Contractor Procurement, Subcontract orders and general Contract Administration ensuring these are completed to the necessary deadlines.

Collate and keep up to date tracking documents such as the subcontract procurement schedule and collateral warranty tracker.

Ensure the Regional and Company procedures are fulfilled in relation to the processing of Sub Contractor Payments and applicable Payment Notices.

Understand, apply and administer the form of Main Contract, the Amendments and Contract Documents.

Be Client facing, Agreeing Valuations, Variations and general Contract Administration.

Any other duties associated with this position which are related to the objectives of the Company or Team or contribute to individual development.

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor

  • Tier one Main Contractor experience
  • DFE School experience is preferred
