A progressive and expanding architectural studio in Essex is looking for a motivated and skilled Architectural Technician to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a practice during an exciting period of growth and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality residential projects. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, passionate about architecture and construction, and eager to further develop their skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

A full, clean driving licence and access to a car are required for this role.

Key responsibilities:

Attend site visits and client meetings to support project delivery

Produce technical and 3D drawings for planning submissions

Prepare technical packages for Building Regulations approval

Coordinate information with external consultants

Support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously

Assist with project administration and general office duties

Represent the practice at networking and industry events when required

Candidate requirements:

Degree, HND, or equivalent in Architectural Technology or a related field

Full, clean driving licence and access to a car

Experience working on UK residential projects

Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction methods

Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D software such as Sketch Up

Good understanding of the UK planning process

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proactive, able to work independently as well as part of a team
