Job Description & How to Apply Below
An established architectural practice is seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its growing team and contribute to a diverse range of residential projects.
The practice specialises in the residential sector, delivering everything from bespoke luxury homes to large-scale housing developments in collaboration with some of the region’s leading house builders.
This role offers excellent project variety and the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience across all RIBA work stages, with strong mentorship toward Part 3 qualification.
The Role
The successful candidate will become part of a busy and collaborative team, applying their design flair, technical knowledge, and strong CAD/BIM skills across the full lifecycle of residential developments—from early concept design through to planning and technical delivery. The role will involve assisting with design development, producing detailed planning and building regulations packages, and coordinating closely with external consultants, clients, and local authorities to deliver high-quality schemes.
Essential Requirements
* RIBA Part 2 qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification)
* Proven experience working on UK residential projects, from bespoke one-off homes to multi-unit developments
* Strong design and presentation skills, with high proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or 3D modelling/rendering software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, or Enscape)
* Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning policies
* Strong communication, coordination, and team-working skills
* Proactive attitude with a strong desire to progress toward Part 3 chartership
What’s on Offer
* Competitive salary package
* Clear opportunities for career progression
* Friendly, supportive, and collaborative working environment
* Hands-on exposure to a wide variety of residential projects across all RIBA stages
