Teacher Active is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming specialist school near Benfleet. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, complex needs, and associated learning challenges.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Help implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
• Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, youth work, or similar)
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of ASD, ADHD, or complex needs (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for inclusive education
