Cover Supervisor

Prospero Teaching is working with various secondary schools in the East London Borough of Havering. This position is for a cover supervisor (no experience required) in various schools on a temporary / daily basis. You would be required to be punctual, have a real passion for teaching and be able to manage behaviour and develop your classroom management skills. Prospero Teaching also has a learning and development team that will be able to help you develop as a cover supervisor whilst you are with us.

• Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
• Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
• Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
• Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools policies and procedures
• Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
• Reporting back as appropriate using the schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising

• Preferred to have experience teaching or covering previously
