We are currently recruiting for a temporary Computing Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education college in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support learners while delivering high‑quality computing education.

As a Computing Lecturer, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Further Education Computing programmes.
• Teach a range of computing subjects, including IT, Digital Technologies, Programming, Cyber Security, Networking, and related disciplines.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience teaching Computing within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
• A relevant Computing qualification (degree or equivalent).
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners and helping them develop industry‑relevant skills.

• Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.
• Temporary contract with an immediate start (subject to compliance).
