KS1 Teacher

GSL Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Maldon that is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to work in a friendly school environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their best and staff work collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences.

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum , helping pupils build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and wider learning. The school is looking for a teacher who can create a positive and nurturing classroom environment where children feel confident, supported, and motivated to learn.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
• Maintaining strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (including placements)
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach to teaching
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
