Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with older primary pupils and wants the opportunity to become a key part of a classroom?

A fantastic opportunity is available for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Billericay on a full-time, year-long basis.

This role offers the stability of working within one school throughout the academic year, allowing you to build strong relationships with pupils and staff while gaining further experience across Key Stage 2. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to move into a permanent position once the initial contract comes to an end.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across the KS2 curriculum
• Work alongside the class teacher to help deliver effective learning
• Provide additional support to individuals and small groups
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Assist with preparation and classroom organization
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Support pupils in becoming more confident and independent learners

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with KS2 pupils
• Understands the needs of children within Key Stage 2
• Is confident supporting pupils both individually and within groups
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is patient, approachable and encouraging
• Can work effectively alongside teachers and support staff
• Takes a proactive approach to supporting learning
• Is committed to helping pupils reach their potential
