A well-regarded secondary school in Chelmsford is looking for a strong PE specialist to cover a full-time supply booking for the first term, Monday to Friday. This is a genuine PE role — we're looking for a qualified teacher who has actually taught PE, holds relevant qualifications and is confident delivering high-quality PE lessons.
The booking covers a mix of subjects day-to-day across the week, but PE cover is required every other week around sporting fixtures, so real PE teaching experience is essential — not simply a willingness to step in.
This is a school that sets a high bar. If you're the right fit, there is a strong chance the booking will be kept on, with potential scope to extend beyond the first term.
Essential requirements:- Full QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Genuine, demonstrable experience teaching PE, with relevant qualifications.
- Confident delivering PE lessons to a high standard, plus mixed-subject cover across the week.
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management.
- Available full-time, Monday to Friday, for the full first term.
- Full enhanced DBS and pre-engagement compliance checks apply in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- A full first-term booking with potential to extend.
- Paid weekly through PAYE.
- A dedicated First Call Employment consultant managing your placement.
