Protocol Education is proud to be working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Harlow, including several schools where we are the preferred staffing supplier through exclusive recruitment agreements. Many of our partner schools have recently established dedicated SEN support hubs within their mainstream settings, creating nurturing environments where pupils with additional needs can access tailored support while remaining part of the wider school community.

As demand grows, schools are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

You may be supporting pupils:

• On a 1:1 basis
• Within small intervention groups
• In specialist SEN hubs
• In mainstream classroom environments

• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support programmes.
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• SEN experience is advantageous but not essential.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
