Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a role that offers technical variety, project leadership, and the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure and structural engineering schemes across multiple sectors?
An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of rail, infrastructure, industrial, and energy-related projects, delivering both temporary and permanent works design solutions across the full project lifecycle.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in the delivery of technically challenging projects, supporting design development from concept through to construction while mentoring junior engineers and liaising directly with clients and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering structural engineering design for temporary and permanent works projects
Carrying out structural analysis and complex calculations for steel and concrete structures
Designing foundations, retaining walls, support frames, platforms, pipe racks, and associated infrastructure
Producing structural calculations, technical reports, and engineering documentation
Developing analytical models using industry-standard structural software
Reviewing drawings, contractor proposals, and specialist supplier information
Coordinating with architects, contractors, geotechnical engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams
Undertaking site inspections, surveys, and attending client and design meetings
Supporting project delivery, programme management, and technical compliance
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical development within the team
Ensuring designs are delivered in accordance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and project requirements
This role would suit a technically strong engineer with experience across infrastructure, rail, industrial, or energy sectors who enjoys combining hands-on design work with project coordination and technical leadership responsibilities.
You will be joining a collaborative engineering environment where technical excellence, practical problem-solving, and professional development are highly valued
