A market-leading manufacturer of high-reliability electronics products for aerospace, defence and industrial sectors is looking for a Production Engineer to join its Power engineering team.
This is a full lifecycle role. You'll support prototype build, process development and production, right through to end-of-life and field support, working across a portfolio that spans space, aerospace, oceanographic and medical imaging applications.
What you'll be doing:
- Component-level fault finding and structured root cause analysis on the production line
- Writing and maintaining SOPs, control plans and FMEAs
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) against DFM/DFA criteria
- Managing manufacturing change from concept through to production acceptance
- Acting as subject matter expert on risk and COSHH assessments
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in electronics test and manufacturing engineering
- Working knowledge of DFM/DFA and electrical/mechanical assembly and test
- Problem-solving experience (8D, A3, root cause analysis)
- Understanding of SPC data
- Eligibility to obtain SC clearance (essential)
