Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing SME within a well-funded, acquisitive group.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of the finance function while supporting senior leadership in driving growth, improving performance, and embedding strong financial controls.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a department comprising two staff and be responsible for the day-to-day finance function, providing commercial insight to inform strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing environment, with genuine prospects to progress into a broader finance leadership position as the business expands.

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
* Producing financial analysis to support business planning and operational decision-making
* Strengthening financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
* Managing cashflow and working capital performance
* Supporting group reporting requirements and acquisition integration activities
* Leading and developing the finance team and overseeing transactional finance activities
* Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, banks, and external advisors

About You:

You will be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience) with strong SME experience, ideally in a growth-focused or acquisitive business. A commercially minded, solutions-focused approach, combined with excellent stakeholder management, is essential. You will be highly organised, adaptable, and confident translating financial information into actionable insight.
