Streetworks Inspector

Our client, a London Borough in need of a dedicated professional, is currently seeking a Streetworks Inspector on a contract basis within the Highways sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with street works and highways regulations
Coordinating street works activities and ensuring alignment with legislative requirements
Collaborating with utility companies to agree on traffic management plans
Managing and resolving issues related to street works activities and traffic management
Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act
Providing expert advice on street works legislation and compliance
Reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented as necessary

Job Requirements:

Experience in street works inspection or coordination
Strong understanding of NRSWA legislation and the Traffic Management Act
Excellent knowledge of street works regulations and highways management
Ability to work effectively with utility companies and other stakeholders
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Clear and effective communication skills
Capability to produce and maintain accurate records and reports
