Key Responsibilities

  • You will be an expert practitioner, with responsibility for providing autonomous reports on plain film radiographic examinations, including Accident & Emergency, Outpatient and GP-referred patients.
  • Your working time will be spent undertaking clinical and reporting duties.
  • You will provide expert advice and support to senior and junior radiographers, assistant practitioners and student radiographers.
  • You will promote continuous professional development within the department by providing teaching sessions and communicating effectively any technical issues needing improvement.

  • Continuous auditing of personal reporting standards is essential, including participation in quarterly peer review within the reporting radiographer team.
  • The role also includes providing expert advice and support to clinicians, radiographers, student radiographers, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
