Yearly Salary: 27759 - 30768

The Technical Officer will be working with a Technical Analyst to provide the first line and first-class Technical Service Desk using great customer skills backed by technical knowledge. You will be a key part of the delivery of our Digital Data and Technology services.
Responsibilities- Provide first-line technical support to council staff and external users.
- Escalate and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Technical Analyst to improve service desk processes.
- Maintain accurate service desk documentation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
- ITIL experience or knowledge.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Working in the Councils IT Team and moving towards an integrated One Team you will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies, challenges and opportunities to upskill. Acting as an ambassador for the Team – you will be part of a motivated and forward-thinking technology team.
Brentwood and Rochford Councils have joined and are working together to create One Team for two Councils. The role continues to evolve as the Council implements its transformation agenda.
