This is a client-facing Business Systems Analyst role working across insurance software projects from analysis through to configuration and implementation. You’ll take ownership of requirements gathering, system configuration, SQL reporting and solution delivery.

The role suits someone with insurance sector knowledge who is comfortable operating across both business analysis and technical configuration.

• Gather and define client requirements, translating them into detailed project documentation
• Configure insurance systems to meet client specifications
• Produce feasibility reports and solution proposals
• Build SQL queries to interrogate, report on and update databases
• Create documentation and MIS reports using tools such as Crystal Reports and MS Report Builder
• Work closely with developers and end users to ensure successful delivery
• Develop testing schedules and support system implementation
• Provide user training and produce user manuals
• Manage project tasks independently or as part of a wider team

• Background in software development, systems analysis or software vendor environment
• Experience with in the insurance industry
• Strong understanding of the insurance lifecycle
• Good working knowledge of SQL and database structures
• Ability to analyse business processes and design practical system solutions
• Confident communicator with client-facing experience
• Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver to deadlines

• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Logical, structured approach to problem solving
• Ability to balance technical detail with commercial awareness
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
