BENCH JOINER / CARPENTER - EXHIBITIONS / DISPLAYS ESSEX

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

Salary Up To £55K (Depending on Experience) + Paid Overtime

Our client is a well-established exhibition and display company specialising in the design and build of high-quality bespoke exhibition stands, retail displays, and experiential environments. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join the production team. This is a hands-on workshop-based role, working as part of a skilled team to manufacture bespoke exhibition stands and display units to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have strong bench joinery skills and experience working with a variety of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing bespoke exhibition stands, display units, and joinery items from technical drawings
Working with a variety of materials including MDF, plywood, laminates and solid timber
Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and production briefs
Assembling, finishing, and preparing items for dispatch and installation
Using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
Collaborating with designers, project managers, and installation teams
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Assisting with packing and preparing jobs for transport where required

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (ideally within exhibitions, displays or bespoke joinery)
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality of finish
Experience using workshop machinery and hand tools
Good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude

Experience with CNC machinery (not essential)
