Sales Account Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a growing sales and distribution business within the food ingredients sector as a Sales Account Manager.

The company has secured a number of key food manufacturing customers and now requires additional commercial support to manage accounts and drive growth.

Based in Essex, the business operates with a small, collaborative team, so this role will require you to be office-based in order to work closely with colleagues.

As Sales Account Manager you will be working with customers to supply a wide range of food ingredients, including sugars and sweeteners, starches, dairy products, dried fruits and a variety of functional ingredients.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business and inherit several key accounts. This will allow you to gain a deep understanding of the company, build strong customer relationships, and use this insight to grow existing accounts or win new customers with similar needs.

• Someone with experience in food ingredients
• A salesperson or account manager from the wider food industry
• A graduate with a strong interest in the food sector who wants to develop a career in sales

• Comfortable in a sales role requiring strong numerical ability and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with an inquisitive approach
• Hard-working, proactive and excited to join a small but growing team
• Happy to be office-based when not visiting customers

There are exciting opportunities within this business to travel to trade events and customer sites. You will also work closely with the Managing Director-an industry specialist who will support your development as you get up to speed.
