Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for your next Children with Disabilities (CWD) contract with excellent pay, flexible working arrangements, and a manageable caseload?

We are currently working with a well-established London local authority seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive service that prioritises relationship-based practice, high-quality assessments, and positive outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families.

Working within the CWD Team, you will support children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they receive appropriate services, safeguarding support, and tailored care plans to maximise their wellbeing and development. The service benefits from experienced management, strong team stability, and a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities and complex needs
  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory assessments
  • Complete Care Act and Short Break assessments where appropriate
  • Develop, implement, and review child-centred care and support plans
  • Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies
  • Assess and manage safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance
  • Support children in need, child protection, and looked after children processes where required
  • Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and court documentation when necessary
  • Ensure the voices of children and young people remain central to all planning and decision-making
About You / Qualifications
  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Recent experience within a Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding, Child in Need, or Assessment Team
  • Strong knowledge of legislation relating to children with disabilities and safeguarding
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
  • Excellent assessment, care planning, and relationship-based practice skills
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with families and multi-agency professionals
