Summary of RoleGlobal Foundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. This Sr. Process Technician position is a fully onsite D1 (Day Shift) AWS schedule covering processes & equipment in buildings 970 & 973. This is a 12-hour shift schedule working approximately 7am - 7pm, with some weekends required. The Fab9 Contamination Free Manufacturing (CFM) module is seeking a motivated Sr.
CFM Process Technician to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team in Essex Junction, VT. This position is required to sustain and improve defect detection processes and equipment on the factory floor. The primary functions of this role are to provide tactical support to the manufacturing line, build inspection tool recipes, and perform standard work to set up measurements and review defects for issue detection.
- Identify and assess process issues with defect inspection tools
- Execute standard work to write defect inspection recipes
- Manage hold lots needing inspection
- Execute standard work for initial dispositioning of lots that flag defect limits
- Proactively support the pursuit of defect signal detection and work with engineering in determining the source
- Run tools including quals if needed in periods of low Mfg staffing
- Coordinate information exchange and build working relationship with manager and co-workers to accomplish work steps and to solve problems
- Communicate and collaborate with co-workers within and outside the department
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
- Oher duties as assigned by manager / supervisor
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience – minimum 3-4 years' of relevant technical experience / equivalent military experience
- Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal
- Work in a clean room environment wearing gloves, other Personal Protective Equipment, including a clean room suit
- Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Days), primarily in the cleanroom environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing processes & activities (ex: 5S, structured problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, Training within Industry, etc.)
- Education - 2 Year Associates Degree in Engineering or related Technical Discipline
- Applied, working knowledge of Statistical Process Control methodologies & systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, taking initiative to drive solutions to problems
Expected Salary Range $48,200.00 - $83,200.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
