Imaging Technical Assistant - Estero
Radiology Regional Center – 10201 Arcos Ave, Estero, FL (On‑site)
Full‑time;
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.
Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician‑driven diagnostic imaging providers in Southwest Florida.
Job SummaryImaging Technical Assistant (ITA) greets patients and escorts them through procedures, ensures proper preparation and verifies orders, confirms accurate patient demographics, completes history sheets, operates computer systems, and provides safety when using MRI equipment. ITAs also complete IV training, prepare IV solutions, assist technologists and physicians, position patients for imaging, and assist with patient linens.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and escort them to prevent entry into unauthorized or restricted areas of the facility.
- Explain proper preparation to patient before procedures and verify patient RX or VO.
- Verify patient demographics in accordance with RRC’s HIPAA/PHI policy using two identifiers.
- Ensure patient history is completed with accurate information per history sheet for scheduled exam.
- Operate and understand all computer systems: PACS, RIS, MDM, and SPARK (Instant Messaging).
- Provide protection in accordance with MRI equipment safety standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Complete Radiology Regional IV training program and obtain required IV certification.
- Prepare IV solution sets and contrast agents for administration and assist technologists, radiologists, physicians.
- Prepare and position patient for imaging procedures, ensuring patient modesty, confidentiality, and privacy.
- Navigate through the RRC Informer to access technical protocols, forms, training, and radiologists’ schedules.
- Assist with laundry of patient gowns, sheets, and other linens.

- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Medical assisting or other patient‑focused experience (Preferred). Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Medical training program including medical and anatomy terminology (Preferred).
- Medical assistant certificate (Preferred).
- Medical knowledge/experience (Preferred).
