Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.
Seeking a caring, energetic and reliable caregiver for a friendly 17‑year‑old young man. He requires assistance with personal care, meal prep, light outings, and fun activities like music and gaming. Creating a positive and enjoyable environment.
This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour.
Schedule: Two afternoons per week, 1pm–5pm, hours and days somewhat flexible.
You will be a good fit for this position if you:

- Demonstrate patience and compassion.
Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:
- Encourage and support the individual during home activities.
- Support with personal hygiene.
- Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance.
- Ensure individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks.
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, grocery shopping and appointments.
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
- Complete daily progress notes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Are 18 years of age or older.
