PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

ARMStaffing is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant, Outpatient Rehabilitation in Estero, Florida.

Estero, FL

This is a 13-week contract position.

5x8 hour shifts, variable schedule.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will embrace the core values of Select Medical while delivering superior quality care to patients. This role focuses on outpatient rehabilitation, particularly with a commitment to safety, providing therapy interventions, and supporting patient recovery through established treatment plans.

• Implement treatment goals and programs established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening, endurance training, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices, employing proper guarding techniques.
• Demonstrate the use of modalities like whirlpools, hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and therapeutic pools.
• Monitor patient responses and document progress, including patient and family education.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control measures and proper use of equipment.

• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience required.
• CAPTE Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR Certification required.

• Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (CAPTE Certified).
• CPR certification needed
